10 Tips To A Healthy Lifestyle!

Hey everyone!


This post is going to be a little different from what I usually do.  I'm going to be giving you 10 tips to a healthy lifestyle. Now I'm sure we're all able to admit we like to sleep in late, eat chocolate, put of exercise and that makes us go downhill. If you want to change and get a healthy lifestyle, then carry on reading and I hope this can help! Enjoy!

1. Wake up early
I know it sounds horrible and yes, it'll be hard to begin with but waking up early makes the day longer and more productive. You'll get so much more done and if you have a shower, you'll feel refreshed and the day will be 10x better,

2. Go for a walk or a run
Going for a walk or a run in the morning will boost your day immediately. It also means your doing some exercise. It'll wake you up too, if you find the first tip a bit tricky. 

3. Have a morning shower
Having a shower in the morning instead of night will be a great started to the day, you'll feel clean and refreshed for the day and it will make you feel a lot better and ready for the day

4. Drink more water
By drinking water, you'll feel refreshed and hydrated and you will eat less food, Drinking water will keep you going throughout the day and if you're looking to loose weight, it will also help with that.

5. Do some yoga
If you don't have a yoga mat, go buy one. Yoga helps to relieve stress and if you do it at least 3 times a week, you'll have a better and healthier life. You will feel less stressed, more happy and you will have less on your mind and you won't worry as much. There are great videos on YouTube if you've never done Yoga before or attend a nearby class.

6. Eat fruit
I know we all hate having to eat healthy but if you want a healthy lifestyle, then it's one of the main things you've got to do. Instead of reaching for the chocolate or the biscuit tin, go for an apple or a banana. 

7. Read more books
Instead of watching TV, yes we know we all do it, pick up a book and read it for an hour. Reading a book broadens the mind and it will make you feel better, even if it's just a few chapters a day, it will help.

8. Take a walk along the beach
If you life near a beach, go and have a walk along it. Put some music on and plug yourself in, carry your sandals in your hands, put on your sunnies and go for a stroll. Being near the sea is also a stress reliever and you will feel more refreshed in the sea air.

9. Pamper yourself
At the end of the night, pamper yourself. After your day, just relax. Fish out your favourite skincare products, your face masks and bath bombs. Have a relaxing bath, detox a little and just let yourself get tired so you can fall asleep easier.

10. Have a hot chocolate before bed
Don't have tea or coffee before bed. After you've relaxed and tired yourself out, having caffeine will not help and will wake you up again and you'll back track from the day. Treat yourself a little and have a cup of hot cocoa.

Healthy Chocolate Mousse Recipe!

A chocolate mousse recipe without the guilt? This version is lighter on the cals but still heavy on the comfort. Enjoy!


Ingredients:
100g dark chocolate, plus extra to decorate
1 tbsp. agave syrup
6 large free-range egg whites
30g caster sugar


Method:

1. Gently melt the chocolate with the agave in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water (don’t let the water touch the bowl), stirring occasionally. It should take about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

2. Meanwhile, whisk the egg whites in a large mixing bowl until they form stiff peaks. Whisk in the sugar until the egg whites become glossy. Fold a little of the whisked egg white into the cooled chocolate mixture to loosen. Fold the remaining egg whites into the chocolate mixture, little by little, taking care not to knock out the air. Divide among 6 glasses (about 60g each), then chill for at least 30 minutes.

3.  Serve the chilled mousses topped with extra flakes of dark chocolate.

Healthy Pomegranate Sorbet Recipe!

This is a light way to round off a rich, pasta dinner, or any dinner for that matter! Enjoy!


Ingredients:
200g caster sugar
½ cinnamon stick
1 tbsp. pomegranate molasses
Juice of about 6 pomegranates, or 600ml pomegranate juice, plus extra pomegranate seeds to decorate
2 large free-range egg whites


Method:

1. Combine the sugar, cinnamon, molasses and 100ml water in a small pan and heat gently until the sugar has dissolved. Cool completely, then combine with the pomegranate juice and taste.

2. Beat the egg whites to soft peaks in a bowl, then fold into the sorbet mix. Either churn in an ice cream maker or freeze for 2 hours in a metal bowl, beating the edges of the sorbet every 30 minutes until it is firm but has a lovely smooth, mousse-like texture.

3. Layer the pomegranate seeds and sorbet in dessert glasses or bowls.
